Frequently Asked Questions?
Othersoundly is for DJs and artists who actually care how they sound, whether it’s your first proper record or your tenth. If you want a track you can proudly drop next to what you play, post on your socials and push for months, we’re a fit. If you just want something cheap to upload and forget about, we’re not.
You can, and most people who come to us already tried that. Premade ghost tracks and random freelancers are built on volume, so ideas get recycled and things feel generic. You never really know who else is using something similar.
Othersoundly is the opposite: a small, picky team that builds one custom record around you and never resells or reposts it. From the outside, it just looks like you levelled up, whether it’s your first record or your fifteenth.
We work across most modern EDM genres: house, tech house, deep house, melodic and progressive stuff, big-room and festival, and commercial dance. If it lives in the EDM world and you can imagine dropping it in a real set between artists you respect, we can talk. On the call you show us what you play and what you love, and we’ll be straight with you about whether we can hit it properly.
You can, and you should learn. But trying to do everything yourself is the slowest way to move.
If you’re DJing, posting, talking to promoters and trying to grow your name, spending every spare hour stuck in the DAW on one track that might still come out whack isn’t always the smartest play.
Working with us means you get a record that actually hits, while you put your time into the things only you can do: performing, making content, building relationships and growing your audience. It’s not cheating the game, it’s playing it smart.
You don’t need a brand manual. You just need opinions. If you can show us what you play, who you look up to and how you want people to feel when the drop hits, that’s enough. If your answer to everything is “I like everything”, it’s probably too early to work with us.
Think of it like this: you’re the artist and main producer, we’re the extra brain and hands in the studio. You bring the vision, references, taste and the “this feels like me / this doesn’t” calls. We turn that into ideas, arrangement, sound design, mix, master and artwork.
You hear versions, you give real feedback, and nothing is final until you sign off. Your fingerprints are all over the record. It should feel like your track with a killer co-producer, not a random song you rented.
Very. Our name doesn’t appear in your credits or backend. We don’t put your track on ghost sites, we don’t reuse your project for anyone else, and we don’t show your song as a demo without your clear yes.
We also sign NDAs so it’s locked in on paper. From the outside, it just looks like you got really good, really fast.
Then we do our job and fix it. The first version is a starting point, not a verdict. You tell us what feels like you and what doesn’t, and we refine inside an agreed scope. The only way it completely misses is if you disappear and don’t give real feedback.
We’re not trying to be a volume ghost site. Every track takes serious time, back-and-forth and taste to get right, so we cap how many artists we work with at once. That way you actually get attention instead of being project #73 in a queue.
